Day 1: Saigon - Ben Tre - Tra Vinh
Pick at your hotel at 08h30 am and departure for Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Arrival at the Hung Vuong pier, then boarding a private boat for a boat cruise along Ben Tre river to discover the daily life of the local people and the typical traffic in Mekong Delta. First stop at Tu Lo brick oven to discover the technique of baking bricks manually. Then visit a candy workshop made from sticky rice and coconut milk, you can taste this specialty of the region. Continue to visit a workshop in which the locals are making local coconut products: bowls, chopsticks ... Then, walk in the lush arroyos to reach Nhon Thanh village where you visit a local family who are weaving mats, hats and hammocks.
You then enjoy a bike ride or scooter ride through the fruit gardens, rows of coconut palms, vegetable crops and rice fields to Nam Bo restaurant. After lunch, you will enjoy a boat trip in an arroyo under the coconut trees to the pier and road to Tra Vinh. Check in at Tra Vinh Lodge. Dinner and overnight in a lake view bungalow.
Day 2: Tra Vinh - Khmer country - Can Tho
Breakfast at Tra Vinh Lodge. Then, a bike ride or a walk is your choice to discover this beautiful region and this region es very less frequented by tourists. Then visit a local family to see the steps and technique of making rice cakes and noodles. Continue to visit to the local market to discover the various fresh ingredients and organic agricultural products then return to Tra Vinh Lodge to participate in a cooking class, the chef will teach you how to prepare the ingredients for each dish and then make the typical dishes from the Mekong Delta like crispy pancake, Vietnamese spring rolls or grilled fish with turmeric in banana leaf ... Lunch at Tra Vinh Lodge.
Afternoon departure for Can Tho via Vinh Long. Stop on the way to visit a very beautiful Khmer pagoda. Arrive in Can Tho in the late afternoon, check in at the hotel and walk along the Ninh Kieu quay. Dinner and overnight in Can Tho.
Day 3: Cai Rang or Phong Dien floating market - Saigon
Wake up in the early morning and transfer to the pier to embark on a private boat to discover Cai Rang or Phong Dien floating market to observe the daily life of the locals who live mainly according to the sources of the river. There you can find a large number of boats with full of fruits and other local products and to find out exactly what the locals are selling, you look on the pole on which the locals present their products for sale. You can buy fresh tropical fruit on the boats and chat with them.
Then return to the hotel for breakfast. Then, you take a nice bike ride to Vam Xang, around the peaceful Nhon Lọc Islands and visit Cao Dai temple in Phong Dien which symbolizes the unique religion in the region. Then visit a local farmer to enjoy a cup of tea and learn how to bake the local specialty banana cake. You can also taste the tropical fruits picked from one of the most abundant orchards in the Mekong. Lunch with the locals.
Afternoon, continuation of bike rides to the blacksmith workshop and discovery of the technique and stages of the blacksmith before returning to Saigon and end of our services.
